Was doing some exploring and shopping in downtown Flagstaff when hunger struck! On a whim, we decided to eat at Big Bowl Noodle on San Francisco Street. I am so happy we did because the food was delicious and the portions were huge! The staff there was really friendly and the service was great. They give you a little sheet of paper so you can create your own soup with a broth, noodle type, protein, and veggie choices. They also have a full menu of appetizers and other dishes you can order. And the prices were extremely reasonable. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options if needed. What a great spontaneous find for us!
We got a vegetarian broth bowl which was very good. I prefer seasoned soft boiled eggs in Ramen but we got plain hard boiled. I'm not sure if they could do soft boiled. Broth was very tasty.Mango sticky rice was okay.
Very nice lady, amazing service and very amazing food. The interior of the building is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful, I got a big bowl of pork broth with rice noodles with meat and meatballs, extra noodles and cilantro, green onion, bok choy, and bean sprouts. The broth was simply amazing and tasted like one of the best I have before, most definitely recommend it. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the beef and meatballs were both amazing in their own regard. Overall I highly recommend this hole-in-the-wall restaurant.
Wow wow wow this place is incredible! We got the vegan ramen bowls the they truly live up to their big bowl name, HUGE servings! Great value, authentic vibes, highly recommend
So good! 3 of us had ramen, each their own way from Vegetarian broth with tofu to Beef broth with beef to Pork broth with chicken plus add ins. All agreed it was superb. We live in CA, so we know good ramen. A small place run by what is likely the owner, service was friendly and attentive. Reasonable prices. We visit the area every year, so we will be back!
I came to Arizona to visit with some old friends. On night 3, we had yet to go out to dinner once. Talk about a Bachelor trip - we ate chips for dinner the first night. After announcing that I would be going out to dinner in 30 minutes, my friends went to the grocery store to buy ice cream and snackies, and I walked out into the evening to head to Big Bowl Noodles. The restaurant was very quiet and had the look of a counter service place, but a very nice server came to my table while I was looking over a menu and filling out a make-my-own-ramen order. They had Thai iced tea/coffee on the menu and also had the option to get either with rum or vodka. I’d never encountered that before and loved the Thai iced Thea with rum. About 10 minutes or so later, a beautiful bowl of tom-kha ramen was brought over.Feeling very thankful for my quiet dinner out tonight.
Very delicious! You get to customize your soup (or non-soup noodles, in my husband's case). Try the roe fish balls!
Amazing. Everything you look for in a noodle place- ticked every box and did not disappoint. Ate my soup with their traditional matcha (another box ticked), walked around the local shops, and then placed a to-go order so I could bring home sticky rice and potstickers. Wonderful service and lots of seating.
